Solar Eclipse at Brown County Winery!

  • Brown County Winery 4520 State Road 46 Nashville, IN, 47448 United States (map)

SOLD OUT!!!

Thank you for purchasing tickets for the eclipse at Brown County Winery!!  The partial eclipse will start around 1:45 pm with totality just a little bit after 3 pm (eastern time).  Here is important information about our event:

The winery and our parking lot will be open at 8 am on April 8.  Attendees will not be able to park cars overnight on Sunday.  Winery staff will check in vehicles and participants at the front of the winery driveway.  We will then direct each car to the next parking spot.  There is no limit on the number of people in each car, but each car must have a ticket.  Please have a printed or digital ticket for each car when you arrive.  All ages are welcome, so anybody under 21 is allowed to attend and enter the winery when accompanied.

The winery will be offering complimentary wine tastings and selling bottles and glasses of wine to drink that day. Wine will be available to purchase to take home.  Feel free to bring food, snacks, and non-alcoholic drinks with you.  The winery will have a variety of cheeses, sausage, crackers, dips etc. in addition to non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase on the day of the eclipse.

All outside food is allowed, but no other alcohol is allowed on the winery premises.

Every attendee will receive a winery goodie bag that includes approved solar viewing glasses!  Only look directly a the sun while wearing the solar glasses.  Please visit https://science.nasa.gov/eclipses/future-eclipses/eclipse-2024/safety/ for more information on viewing the sun.  Feel free to bring other eclipse viewing methods, activities and games.

The winery has very limited outdoor seating and we can not accommodate everyone in attendance.  Please bring lawn chairs or a blanket if you don't want to stand all day or sit on the ground.  If you would like to stay close to your car, please don't set up until the spots around you are filled.

Due to the popularity of the eclipse in our area, it is anticipated that traffic to and from Brown County will be heavy.  Please be patient and considerate when driving.  Congestion on the roads is likely right after the eclipse.  We are planning to close at 6 pm, but it may be difficult for all vehicles to leave by that time.  Please be prepared to stay in Brown County longer than expected and please bring extra necessities as required.

We look forward to seeing you and hope everyone has a memorable experience.  If you have any questions please respond or send an e-mail to info@browncountywinery.com or call the winery at 812.988.6144.

All ages are welcome. This is a rain or shine event and there are no refunds.
